Peer mediators
Heinrich-Mann-Schule has qualified peer mediators, who are available to the pupils if there’s ever any conflict situations or arguments at break time. Peer mediators are fellow pupils (Year 9 and above), who have completed a multi-day training programme under the supervision of our peer mediator teacher. This concept relieves pressure on both pupils and teachers alike. It also helps
our pupils to take a structured approach to conflict management in a non-violent, respectful and cultivated way that is on equal terms with their opponent.
